Cons of the AMEX Platinum Travel
The single biggest con of AMEX Platinum Travel is the acceptability of AMEX cards. Some merchants don’t accept AMEX cards due to the high MDR. However, a lot of online websites including Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra etc. do accept AMEX cards.
It also doesn’t earn any points on popular categories like insurance and fuel spends, however they will get counted towards the milestone.
Miles & Beyond Verdict
The AMEX Platinum Travel undoubtedly is one of the best cards in the AMEX portfolio and is especially aimed at travellers. It’s a no-brainer in my view to get the card if one can manage to spend 4L in a year.
